Transportation

Cars are an excellent medium of transportation in Birch Hill. It is very easy to come across a parking spot. It is challenging to commute by bike in Birch Hill because the bicycling infrastructure is not very extensive, and there are a fair number of elevation changes. Many of the homes for sale in this neighbourhood are located in places that are also not very suitable for those who travel by foot as running common errands is nearly impossible.

Services

Birch Hill does not have any high schools or primary schools. With respect to food, property owners in this part of the subdivision of a county municipality almost always have to rely on a vehicle to buy groceries.

Character

Birch Hill is an excellent neighbourhood to buy a house in for those who prefer a relaxed environment. The noise levels in Birch Hill are especially low, as the streets tend to be very tranquil.

Housing

Around 90% of the population of this neighbourhood own their home and 10% are renters. The predominant housing types in this part of the subdivision of a county municipality are single detached homes and row houses. Roughly one third of properties in this neighbourhood were built between 1960 and 1980, while the majority of the remaining buildings were constructed pre-1960 and in the 1980s.
