Onslow

Onslow is a community within Colchester Subdivision B, Nova Scotia, which is situated in the Greater Truro metropolitan area.

Transportation

Onslow is very car friendly. Most real estate listings are a reasonably short car ride from the nearest highway, such as Highway 104, and it is very convenient to park. Biking is very hard in this community as the bicycling infrastructure is not very well-developed, and the area is not especially flat. Travelling on foot is also not very practical for property owners in Onslow since very few common errands can be run without the use of a vehicle.

Services

Shopping for one's groceries very often demands the use of a vehicle in Onslow. With regards to education, there are only a very small number of high schools in this part of the subdivision of a county municipality and accordingly they can be a very long walk away. Furthermore, Onslow does not have any primary schools.

Onslow offers a relaxed atmosphere. Onslow is quiet, as the streets tend to be tranquil - however some areas can be quite noisy, especially near the railway line or Highway 104.
