Located in the Greater Halifax metropolitan area, Ship Harbour is a community within Halifax, Nova Scotia.

Transportation

Driving is a great transportation option in Ship Harbour. It is especially convenient to find a place to park. Many of the homes for sale in this part of the municipality are located in areas that are not very conducive to walking as almost no daily needs can be carried out on foot. Cycling is also difficult in Ship Harbour as there are a good number of elevation changes for cyclists to brave, and there are very few bike lanes.

Services

A car is almost always required in this part of the municipality to access the closest supermarket. As far as education is concerned, Ship Harbour does not contain any high schools or primary schools.

Character

Ship Harbour offers a slower-paced environment. Ship Harbour is reasonably quiet, as there are low levels of noise from traffic. Green spaces aren't well-spread out, resulting in them being very difficult to access from the majority of locations within the community.

Housing

In Ship Harbour, the overwhelming majority of buildings are single detached homes, but mobile homes are also present in the housing stock.
