Walking is also not very practical for residents in Corkery because running common errands is almost impossible.

Character

People who prefer a slower-paced atmosphere will enjoy Corkery. Most areas in Corkery are very quiet, as noise from streets and other parts of the city is rarely an issue - although there are still several noisier sections, especially near Highway 7 or Highway 417. Parks are sparse, making them very hard to get to. Despite that, there are a few public green spaces nearby for residents to check out, such as Rick Lytle Park.

Housing

Nearly 95% of the dwellings in the neighbourhood are occupied by homeowners and 5% are rented. The predominance of single detached homes in the housing stock of this neighbourhood is an important part of its character.
