Part of the Greater Saskatoon metropolitan area, South West Development Area is a neighbourhood within Saskatoon, Saskatchewan.

Transportation

South West Development Area is especially car friendly. The majority of the street infrastructure is conducive to driving, and parking is easy. On the other hand, the public transit service in this area is not very frequent. The bicycle is a quite poor mode of transportation in South West Development Area since the cycling network is not very extensive. Thankfully, there are a limited number of hills. South West Development Area is also not very well-suited for walking since meeting daily needs is inconvenient by walking.

A vehicle is almost always needed in South West Development Area to reach the closest supermarket. A limited number of restaurants can be found in this part of Saskatoon. This neighbourhood experienced its main building boom between 1960 and 1980, so most of the available properties are from this era. This part of the city is primarily composed of three bedroom and four or more bedroom homes.
