Transportation

This neighbourhood will attract home buyers that use various means of transportation. Owing to various nearby rapid transit stations on the Ligne 2 - Orange and Ligne 5 - Bleue, and approximately 20 nearby bus lines, the very good public transit infrastructure allows people to get to many destinations without needing a vehicle. Côte-des-Neiges will also appeal to active home buyers because it is especially convenient for walking; all daily errands can be run without the use of a car, and a good number of businesses of different types can be found as well. Commuting by bicycle is easy in this part of Montréal.

Services

In this part of Montréal, parents and their kids will almost always be able to access schools and daycares by walking. Parents can choose between public and private schools at both the primary and high school level. With regards to eating, a general and a specialty grocery store is always only a short walk away in this part of the city. Moreover, there is often a restaurant or cafe in close proximity.

Character

The character of Côte-des-Neiges is exemplified by its calm environment. This part of Montréal features a fair amount of greenery as there are numerous tree-lined streets. There are around 20 parks nearby for residents to relax in, such as Parc Tiohtià:Ke Otsira'kéhne and Parc Martin-Luther-King, and they are very well-distributed, which results in them being very easy to reach from the majority of locations in the neighbourhood. Most areas in this part of Montréal are reasonably quiet, as there are generally low levels of noise from traffic - although that is not the case closer to Autoroute Décarie or one of the railway lines.
